What To Expect
A hilarious trip to visit Pak Ou Caves – an old cave complex with over 4,000 Buddha icons of various sizes. To get there, you will ride along Mekong River to the boat station, then cruise to the caves to visit, and finally cruising back to Luang Prabang on Mekong River.Description
In the morning, we meet you at your hotel and move to get your bike in our shop in Luang Prabang. We will ride from the city center along Mekong River on the mixed dirt and paved road through local villages. On the way, we will stop to visit Ban Xiang Hai, as known as “Whiskey Village” which is famous for its rice whiskey product. Nam Ou River and Mekong River meet in Pak Ou – a stunning setting with incredible limestone cliffs rising from the river. We’ll stop for lunch in a local restaurant before loading our bikes and taking a private boat to the holy Pak Ou Caves. Coming here you can see thousands of Buddha relics with various kinds and sizes. We then board the boat again for a relaxing cruise on Mekong River to return to Luang Prabang. When we arrive, you ride back to the bike shop and from here, we will drive to drop you off at your hotel. End trip.
