Trekking To Kuang Si Waterfall - Private Tour

What To Expect

A trekking tour created for people who love natural adventure. Kuang Sii Waterfall is located 29km south of Luang Prabang. It is the biggest fall in the Luang Prabang area with three tiers leading to a 50m drop into spectacular azure pools before flowing downstream. The pools also make great swimming holes and are very popular with both tourists and local. After the picnic lunch, you can go swimming and relax in beautiful scenery of nature.




Description

At 8:30am, we pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Ban Long Lao - the village of Hmong people. Here you can observe the life style of this minority group. Leaving this rural setting, the trail lead along rice fields and vegetable gardens before reaching the wooded mountains with some steeper parts. A cave is explored on the way, which is serves as a bomb shelter for the villagers ling in this valley during the Second Indochina War.
One more hour of trekking takes you to the crystal clear water of just one of the springs that feed the Kuang Sii Waterfall: a beautiful pool full of big sacred fish. After descending from the top of the fall, a Lao style lunch is served when we arrive at Kuang Sii Waterfall. You then can take a swim around and relax in the turquoise pools. In the late afternoon, we return to town and visit Wat Phabath Tai along Khong River bank. After this site, we transfer to your hotel. End trip.
