Description

Day 01:
At 8:00am, we pick you up at your hotel in Pakse and depart to Ban Nongluang. When you arrive, the village guides welcome you and give you important first safety instructions. They’re also your partners during this tour. We then hike through coffee plantations and vegetable gardens until wild semi-evergreen forest gradually takes over; pass ravines, beautiful waterfalls and flower-studded plateaus. Along the way, your guide will explain the plants traditionally used in the village kitchen or as herbal medicine. Passing the huge “Tiger” waterfall, we reach the giant “Kamet” fall, where the water plunges more than 100m down into a relatively narrow, densely forested valley basin with waterfalls apparently everywhere. Here is where zip-lines start and the real thrill takes its course. You will have lunch in the wilderness, explore the forest secrets of the area and may take a cooling swim.
In the afternoon, you will try the amazing zip-lines. The cables crisscross the valley in front of the majestic water wall. Enjoy the sensation of being weightless and truly one with nature.
After a day of great activities, we stop at the wonderful camp with restaurant nearby. Dinner with local food and barbecues is served in the restaurant. After that, you can relax in your own tree house almost 10m above ground. These houses are designed in traditional style and made from wood, bamboo and grass. The only way to reach them is by zip-line. You will spend one night in those house.

Day 02:
In the morning, a simple European-style breakfast is prepared for you. We then get a trek for about 30 minutes through great forest to reach the first cable. Be ready for extended flights through the jungle with the longest zip-line of 400m as a real highlight. Its speed, its felt infinity, the proximity to the usually invisible upper stratum of the forest is an amazing and unforgettable experience.
A picnic lunch is served in the best of nature. In the late afternoon, we return to the camp by passing the “Red Rock” Stream. We can stop for rest and swimming if you want. You will have dinner in our restaurant and spend another night in your tree house.

Day 03:
After breakfast, we trek uphill, pass a section of forest where gigantic trees dominate. The trail ends at a steep rock wall. From here you just can pass by ‘via ferrata”. Don’t worry, it’s all safe and you’re secured by state-of-the-art safety gear. Upon reaching the top of the mountain, one of the highest peaks in the area, an open plateau rewards you for all the “hardship” – and for the last time – with stunning views of three waterfalls and vistas over the Mekong deep into neighboring Thailand. You will have a picnic lunch here before trekking back to Ban Nongluang. When we arrive at Ban Nongluang, our car will take you back to your hotel in Pakse. End trip around 6:00pm.
