Nam Khan River Valley Adventure - Full Day Trekking And Kayaking - Private Tour

What To Expect

This tour combines two popular activities of tourists visiting Luang Prabang: trekking and kayaking. You will have the chance to explore the natural side of Luang Prabang with an amazing trek through spectacular landscapes visiting Khmu hill-tribe villages, and a kayaking trip on Nam Khan River. This tour will surely be unforgettable, giving you a true taste of Laos.

Description

In the morning, we pick you up at your hotel in Luang Prabang and depart to the bank of Nam Khan River. We then take a boat crossing the river and start our trekking tour through jungle, forest, bamboo, paddy fields and streams. Our destination is a small village of Khmu people at the base of limestone mountains. We will visit around the village to admire beautiful bamboo weaved houses and meet friendly locals. Don’t hesitate to talk with them with the help of your guide.
After exploring the Khmu village, we continue hiking to Tad Sae Waterfall. It’s an interesting place with different beauties upon the water seasons. Here you also can enjoy a refreshing swim and explore surrounding area. From the waterfall, we take a boat trip to boat station and start our kayak adventure downward Nam Khan River. For safety purpose, we will have a short review about kayaking skills before we start. You will enjoy an exciting river journey through beautiful Nam Khan River valley and through lush jungle. Along the river, you also can observe locals engaged in daily activities on the river. One thing to note: kayaking conditions vary between easy to medium and total time is approximately 2 hours depending on river conditions. We finish our tour in the late afternoon. Our driver take you back to your hotel in Luang Prabang. End trip.
